Now that it was the summer of 2022, it was time for a real vacation. I still wasn’t comfortable with travel out of the country, so decided to explore an area a few hours from home, Galena, Il.

During a crazy year, I needed something normal, so I headed to Italy.

For the last stop of our South American adventure, we spent a few days in the Amazon taking in more amazing birds as well as many species of monkeys.

In order to see the variety of birds and reptiles in the Galapagos, we spent the second leg of our South American Adventure on a small boat that stopped at 4 of the islands.

We started our South American adventure in Peru where the highlight was getting to and exploring Machu Picchu.
